Scarrott Racing Round 5 & Round 6 Report

This race report will talk about Round 5 and Round 6 of the AFM and I’m going to talk about a couple of my favorite up and coming racers; Jayson Uribe and Josh Serne. Both of these racers have a ton of talent, great families and I think they are going to go the distance.  I am extremely excited about how the season has progressed and I’ve spent the last few months focusing on diet and physical fitness to finish the season strong. I’ll be heading into the final round of the AFM series with a lead in points in the Open Production class and I’m pretty excited about my standings in the Open Grand Prix and Formula Pacific as well.

Scarrott Racing AFM Round 4 and June Report!

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

Fasten your seatbelt for the Scarrott Racing AFM Round 4 & June Report!  While most folks are planning vacations and summer fun the racing world is hard at work!  I wouldn’t have it any other way and the last 2 months have been extremely productive.  I’ve published several articles online with Motorcycle Superstore and EBC Brakes has published Part 2 of my VEE Rotor Review and I’m pretty thrilled about all of it!

My 2011 GSXR 1000 is completely repaired after a crash at Sonoma Raceway and there is actually a silver lining in that story.  The silver lining has led to some improvements on the bike and we are in front of the Open Production championship by 50 points.  Jason Hauns and Vaughn McCafferty have been a great help and as always, the EDR Performance crew is the best.  Lastly, I’d like to give some thanks to GU Energy Performance, products I highly recommend!

Combined AFM Round 3 & May Report!

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

Things have been tremendously busy and I apologize for the delay.  This is going to be a combined American Federation of Motorcyclists Round 3 Report and May report, brought to you by Dr. David Benkle Optometry!

Sometimes it’s tough to get these reports started so I’ll give you a couple of spoilers.  The May 2nd & 3rd Pacific Track Time trackdays and Rider Racer Development Program were a fantastic success!   I have painted about a number of race bikes including a Marco Simoncelli tribute bike and I’ve been trying to get in some Supermoto and dirt bike riding.  I’ve also had to devote some time to a few personal matters that unfortunately left me pretty exhausted going into the race weekend.  AFM Round 3 proved to be very demanding with high temperatures, a number of crashes and was the toughest race weekend we’ve seen in awhile.
Fasten your seatbelts… here we go!

Scarrott Racing 2014 AFM Round 2 Report

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

The Scarrott Racing 2014, American Federation of Motorcyclists Round 2 Report is brought to you by Dr. David Benkle Optometry.  I would like to thank Dr. Benkle for his support and it was fantastic to see him at the races during the weekend.  The Benkle Optometry website is located at: http://www.drbenkle.com/ and there are 2 Stockton area locations to serve you!

The AFM Round 2 event was combined with the GEICO Superbike Shootout and Supermoto USA.  I was one of the project managers on the AFM side and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with everyone on the event.  The event was a tremendous success and a lot of fun for the racers and fans.  I prepared early for the event, making sure my bike was ready and cross training with dirt biking and supermoto practice.  My weekend was hampered by a fuel issue and I appreciate the help of all involved to solve the problem.  I am very happy with my results from the weekend and reduced my personal best laptime at Sonoma raceway to 142.9.  As always, I’ve got a ton of news for you, so let’s get to it!

2014 Scarrott Racing April Report

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

I’m a bit late in producing an April report for you – I’ve been absolutely crazy busy.  I’m going to keep this report somewhat short because you’ll be getting a race report pretty quickly.  April has been an absolute blur with a ton going on.  Pacific Track Time has kicked off another Rider Racer Development Program with fantastic results!  The American Federation of Motorcyclists is ready for round 2 combined with the Superbike Shootout and Supermoto USA and I’ve assisted as a project manager on the AFM side for the event.  My Racer Gloves review is published on my website with fantastic feedback.  I have also been fortunate in the last 6 weeks to ride at Buttonwillow Raceway, Thunderhill Raceway, Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca raceway in addition to dirt biking and upcoming Supermoto training.

Scarrott Racing 2014 March Report

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

What a fantastic start to 2014!  I received many emails regarding the Scarrott Racing February report and quite a few people have a common question; what is in store for the beginning of the season?  The ScarrottRacing.com website is completely updated, www.Facebook.com/ScarrottRacing has been launched and the Social Media work has resulted in a tremendous amount of traffic.  Both Pacific Track Time and the American Federation of Motorcyclists have a ton of news,  I captured an inspiring video while dirt biking, conducted a product giveaway for Moto-D racing, spoke at a skills day at Cycle Specialties BMW and I’m nearing completion of a product review for Racer Gloves.

Scarrott Racing 2014 February Report

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

I’ll start off by telling you the 2014 February Report has a ton of spoilers.  I actually debated releasing this race report until the middle of the month but I wanted to get this report out before I am swamped with more projects.  As usual, January has been a whirlwind of activity, wrapping up proposals, negotiations and contracts with partnering companies for Pacific Track Time as well as Scarrott Racing and I am totally thrilled with the results.  Before the spoilers, there is a ton to talk about since the January report including the new Scarrott Racing logos, the AFM banquet, sponsor announcements and a day in the dirt with Ken Hill. In regard to the spoilers, anybody reading this report is going to get preview of my major website update and Social Media updates I will launch next week including a Facebook business page and a giveaway contest that will be announced this week.

Scarrott Racing January 2014 Report!

Dear sponsors, fans, racers, family and friends,

Welcome to 2014!  Hopefully everyone has their New Year’s Resolutions nailed down and everybody has been hitting the gym hard for the last 2 weeks! While most of the industry has been taking a nice winter nap I’ve been hard at work getting dialed in for the year.  2014 is going to be the year of the #14 and I think we are going to have way too much fun.  I do hope that I don’t park too many motorcycles on fences this year although if I do – I hope my friends are there to film it, again!

My 2014 partnering companies are all in place and I really do wish I could tell you everything that is going to be happening in the next 30 – 60 days.  But, that would ruin all the fun so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled, like bananas.  You are going to go bananas when you see what I’ve been cooking up during the off season!
